December was a great month for me- two of my dreams came true! One was to get my design on with anything from "Once Upon a Wintertime" (which is my favorite animated short film of all time!) The other was to go behind the scenes of "It's a Small World" in Disneyland. Can you believe it!? They both came true! You also may have notice they have something in common, someone named Mary Blair. Love her work so much!
Here is the finished piece I did for the Sketch of the Month on the Disney site:

Stitch Mom
Stitch is one of my favorite Disney characters. Mainly because he's mischievous. My friend wanted this scene from the end of the film as a sketch and here it is. He's so cute! I wanna hug!

Nicole
Nicole was my best friend while I lived and went to school in Chicago. On a family visit to Cali, she made some time to visit me. We drove down Muholland Drive and then I found out I had one headlight. It was scary and I never want to drive at night on that road with less than all headlights from my and your car. Yes, also with your car's headlights on mine. It was that dark!
Afterward, we celebrated being alive by drinking coffee and me sketching her. It's the second time we almost died in California... the other time being a hostel type hotel in San Francisco.

Cassassy Souffle
When I first saw the character designs for the Sugar Rush-kins, I knew what had to be done... and now it has been done!

Love that Peter Pan

I feel like we can call November the month of Pin Ups. I'd like to color a couple of them when I make some spare time. I say "make" because that's what it has to be. "When I get" is unrealistic because you will never get spare time, you have to make time for the things you love!
For a different shade of sketch, I've decided to start December off with something I love- PETER PAN! I'm definitely painting this one this month. :)

Organizing my desktop this morning and came across this sketch. I remember she was asking a lot of questions that the cashier didn't know about what's in different drinks. I like how there's different ways to put milk and espresso together. Espresso is the same as coffee only on a different grind setting... Coffee can be so technical sometimes. I'm glad drinking it is easy, though stopping the habit is tough.
